Art Classes at Primrose Park Arts Centre

Anna-Carien runs a broad ranging painting class that will enable each student to learn specific painting techniques, experiment with subject and style, and to fulfil their creative potential. 

She is experienced in both oil and acrylic and her teaching style is enthusiastic and inclusive. 

There will be plenty of individual feedback as students develop their unique approaches and styles. 

Classes are run in a series of 

8-9 classes

For Experienced students / artists

I will start from the point of where your work is and help deepen your knowledge of

both art materials and your self expression, imagery choice and brand if need be.

I often encourage to work in series- this really pushes a painters ability with wonderful

results.Discussion of professional practice and showing of works / galleries.

For Beginners

I will work with new painters to enjoy and understanding their materials. To pick imagery

and simply paint until they have a piece they love.Paintings can be for a real still life,

intuitive, or photos/i-pad.

Whether abstract or a realistic painter I will endeavour to expand your

understanding of paints , colour, mediums and lengthy discussion around image

making / reasoning and motif.

Classes are run in blocks of 5.
